At the age of 89, renowned actor Nicholas Pryor, who had a lengthy career in both film and television, passed away. Pryor, who gained notoriety for adopting a fatherly position for up-and-coming actors, lost his fight with cancer on October 7 at his Wilmington, North Carolina, home. The Hollywood Reporter was informed of the unfortunate news by his spouse, Christine Belford.

Nick was born Nicholas David Probst in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 28, 1935. He started his acting career on Broadway and then went on to TV and movies. Pryor demonstrated his versatility in humor and drama by acting in over 170 roles during his career.
