Internet Stunned by What Man Does for Girlfriend Before His Work Trip

A man’s gesture toward his girlfriend before leaving for a work trip has been applauded by social media users.

On November 12, TikTok user @workoutwithginaa posted a video of her boyfriend unpacking a large order of prepped meal boxes ahead of his departure. He meticulously arranges the boxes on a kitchen counter, ensuring that she has nutritious meals while he is away. The clip has since gone viral, receiving more than 231,000 likes.

In text overlaid on the video, the content creator wrote, “My [boyfriend] ordering from a meal prep company before his work trip because he thinks I won’t eat.”

Gina, who preferred not to use her surname, told Newsweek it was not the first time her boyfriend had taken such measures to care for her from a distance. His practical approach stemmed from knowing how occupied she could be with creating gym-focused lifestyle content on social media.

Gina's Boyfriend Assembles Prepped Meals Before Trip

“It has not been the only time we got meals from a meal prep company when I have been home alone. My boyfriend likes to stock these up in the fridge anytime he is not home because he knows I can be busy and not have time to cook,” she said.

The TikTok video has sparked praise among viewers who admire the man’s thoughtful gesture.

“Aw where do y’all meet these guys,” one commented, while another added, “What exactly was the prayer.”

“Bet he calls you to remind you to drink water too,” a viewer wrote.

The content creator said her partner made sure she had a varied diet during his time away, with the meals including jerk chicken dishes, chicken Parmesan and ground beef stir fry sourced from @carepackagemeals.

“My boyfriend was shocked by the viral success of the video, but he instantly knew it was because a lot of boyfriends deal with the same problem,” Gina said, adding, “He knew that us girls have our ‘girl dinners’ when our partners are not home.”

Girl dinners,” the less structured, often simpler meals that people may resort to when alone, have trended on social media for the past year.

TikTok users have echoed Gina’s sentiment that the prepped meals represent a deeper understanding and commitment to ensuring the well-being of a loved one.
