Mustard Hits Back At Boi-1da After He Says “West Coast Rap Is A**”

Mustard isn’t feeling Boi-1da taking shots at West Coast Hip-Hop. On Monday (Dec. 9), the Los Angeles native took to his Instagram Stories, where he shared the producer stating that “West Coast rap is a**.”

The Grammy award-winning artist then followed up with messages from the Drake-affiliated producer showing him give props and praise to “Not Like Us.” The Toronto native called the No.1 hit single “good sh*t” and gushed over Mustard’s production, stating, “Beat hard AF.” “You said you liked ‘Not Like Us,’” Mustard typed. “Welp, there’s enough yellow tape to go around.”

The Kendrick Lamar-Drake feud has been stacked with people drawing their lines in the sand and, in some cases, vowing never to work with the other side again.

Mustard previously opened up about the possibility of working with Drake in an interview with The Los Angeles Times. He recalled seeing his daughter making a TikTok routine to “Not Like Us” with her friends at school and finding it funny.

As the conversation continued, Mustard was asked about his relationship with the Canadian artist and whether or not he would work with him.

“I don’t think I want to make a song with that dude,” the DJ said before comparing him to Donald Trump. “He’s a strange guy… I mean, they got some weird cases, too. Trump is definitely f**king weird, and he’s definitely not like us.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Mustard took time to air his grievances with Drake’s dedicated online stans. He detailed how low first-week sales for his most recent work, The Faith of a Mustard Seed, led to a back-and-forth with dedicated supporters. During this, he referred to Drake as the “Malcolm X for white people.”

“These guys don’t go to sleep — all they do is tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet. That’s where ‘the Nation of drizzlam’ came from. I said it in a joking manner, but I guess on Twitter it looked like I was mad,” he added. “Drake should use that phrase. I won’t charge him for it.”
