50 Cent Shares the Harrowing Problem With His Diddy Documentary

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

Sex crime accusations against rapper and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs continue to pile in, and one documentary producer is having a tough time covering everything. That person is 50 Cent.

Back in September, rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson revealed that he is working on a documentary for Netflix about the sexual assault allegations against Diddy, whom he has been trolling for years. On Friday, December 13, 50 spoke with GMA3: What You Need to Know to give an update on the documentary.

50 admitted that working on the documentary — which is directed by Alexandria Stapleton — has proven challenging, especially as more accusers have filed lawsuits in recent weeks. Over 100 people have claimed to have been assaulted by Diddy and many already have or are planning to file lawsuits.

“It’s a difficult project because every day there’s new accusations coming out, it’s new things that happened,” the “In Da Club” hitmaker said. “It’s become an octopus, with so many powers and so many things going on there.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, 50 admitted he didn’t imagine that there would be so many allegations against Diddy, nor did he think that said allegations would be so severe.

“I don’t think anyone could have anticipated this many accusations and things that have taken place,” he said.

Diddy is currently sitting in a Brooklyn jail facility. Back in September, he was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The “All About the Benjamins” rapper has applied to be released on bail three times and has been denied each time.

He is currently facing over two dozen lawsuits, the most recent one being from three men who have accused him of sexual assault.

Diddy’s trial is set for May 5, 2025.
