‘Been Too Long’: Céline Dion Proves She Didn’t Lose a Beat as She Sings amid Health Concerns

Celine Dion’s vocals are as beautiful as ever as she sings with Sonyae Elise backstage during the 2024 Grammy Awards. Elise shared a glimpse of their collaboration on social media.

Since her diagnosis, Celine Dion has been away from the public eye and recuperating. However, she recently graced the 2024 Grammy ceremony with her presence and even vocalized with Sonyae Elise backstage.

The younger singer posted a short video with Dion singing and harmonizing behind the scenes. Dion looked breathtaking in a white ensemble with gold accessories, while Elise donned a purple dress.

Social media users who came across the post couldn’t help but comment on Dion’s appearance and voice. “You look great as usual & Celine,” one person wrote in the comments section.

“So.Inspiring to see Celine, has brought so much Joy and to all with her Music, a Legend [sic],” another added. “I’m crying!” a third claimed. “It’s been too long since the last time we heard Celine singing live,” noted another.

Celine Dion also shared behind-the-scenes photos from the event, where she donned a chic Maison Valentino ensemble styled by Luxury Law. Her stylist also shared similar snaps, revealing in the post that Dion was “HEALTHY AND HAPPY!”

In 2022, Dion announced canceling some of her Summer 2023 shows and rescheduling her Spring 2023 shows to 2024. Her website noted that the tickets for the 2023 rescheduled dates would be used for the new 2024 schedule. Meanwhile, canceled shows would have their tickets refunded.

In an Instagram post, Dion opened up about her Stiff Person Syndrome diagnosis, adding that it is a rare condition that causes spasms and stiffness in her body.

“I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through,” she said. She has since kept a low profile, making her Grammy Awards appearances memorable.
