Emma Stone calls Taylor Swift an ‘ahole’ for cheering too loudly at Golden Globes
|Emma Stone had some strong words to describe Taylor Swift during a new Golden Globes interview.
Last night’s 81st Golden Globe Awards, which took place at the Beverly Hilton in California, played host to some great moments celebrating all things TV and movies.
We saw notable greats like Cillian Murphy clinch the win for Best Actor for Oppenheimer, while Billie Eilish took home an award for her part in the soundtrack of Barbie with the tune ‘What Was I Made For?’.
However, perhaps one of the biggest wins on the night went to none other than Emma Stone for her role as Bella Baxter in Poor Things. Stone went up against some other notable greats in the category including Fantasia Barrino for The Color Purple, Jennifer Lawrence for No Hard Feelings, Natalie Portman for May December, Alma Pöysti for Fallen Leaves, and Margot Robbie for Barbie.

“This is amazing, thank you. Dave, I have to start with you really quickly,” she said. “I love you very much. Thank you for everything!” she started.
“Willem, Mark, Ramy, you made every day an absolute joy and so did the rest of our incredible cast,” she continued, referencing her co-stars Willem Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo, and Ramy Youssef.
“Tony, this is our third time working together. Tony, our writer. I love getting to say this dialogue, and I love getting to horrify you with my Australian accent. You’re the best Tony,” she also added before going on to mention the director of the piece, Yorgos Lanthimos.
“Yorgos, I don’t know what I could say to you that I haven’t said to you already. But I will forever be grateful that we met. Forever. And playing Bella was unbelievable.”

“I don’t know if you noticed, Emma,” said a journalist in the crowd. “But when you won, Taylor Swift gave you a huge applause. What are your thoughts of her cheering your win?”
“What an a**hole, am I right?” the Poor Things star joked. “I’ve known her for almost 20 years. I was very happy she was there and she was also nominated tonight, which was wonderful. And yes, what an a**hole.”
