George denounced the media outlet and its staff once the grainy photos on the magazine’s front cover were released, saying, “Make no mistake, the photographers, the agency, and the magazine will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”

Later, George took the situation to a new level by writing an open letter to the UK tabloid Daily Mail, pleading with them and other media outlets to cease sharing pictures of his daughter and son because he was afraid of “real-world consequences.”

The director explained in his letter how his wife’s profession as an international law and human rights attorney puts his family in danger because she frequently “confronts” and prosecutes terrorist organizations. As such, the couple needs to protect their children’s privacy.

He continued by saying that since he and Amal don’t use social media, they have never sold a picture of their kids. They “never post pictures” of themselves because it would endanger their life.

George said he could take “intrusive” photos of himself since he was a famous person, but his kids didn’t agree to that.
