Koffee Bombarded With Comments About Giving Birth, Viral Tweet Debunked

Where is Koffee? The Jamaican singer’s fans flooded her social media pages with comments following a post on X that went viral.
On Friday (October 11), a tweet alleging that Koffee gave birth went viral on social media. “Koffee gave birth 3 hours ago,” the post on X reads. To be clear, there is no truth in the comment, but it was enough to send some fans into a frenzy. Sources close to the “Toast” singer confirmed with Urban Islandz on Saturday that the tweet is “demonstrably” false.
“This is just a big lie from someone who went out their way to post something demonstrably false for clicks,” sources told us. We’re told fans haven’t heard from Koffee since she stepped away from music because she simply needed a break after recording and touring since she was a teenager.
“She is well and just on a break from music you gotta understand Koffee has been doing this since she was in high school and we all saw how hard she has been working so taking a break is actually a good thing,” sources said. “In no way has she quit music. People don’t realize that celebrities are human too. We do get burn out and need a break for rest sometimes.”
Koffee has been missing from social media and the music space since last year after concluding her world tour. She also released her debut album, Gifted, in March 2022. Her debut project, Rapture, won a Grammy award for Best Reggae Album in 2020, making her the youngest Jamaican artist ever to win a Grammy.
Koffee’s last post on her Instagram feed was in February 2023, and a quick glance in the comment section will reveal several comments from fans inquiring about her. “Where have you been?” and “The checkup comments” are some of the things some fans wrote.
We’re told that the singer will unveil her next body of work soon, but in the meantime, she is enjoying some much-needed time away from the spotlight.
