Liam Payne’s Last Words About His Beloved Son Bear Just Months Before His Tragic Death

Liam Payne recently passed away, leaving behind his sole kid, whom he welcomed alongside another well-known star. Being a father was something Liam always appreciated, and he frequently expressed his appreciation for the opportunity and talked warmly about the unique bond he had with his kid.

The well-known former member of the legendary boy band One Direction, Liam Payne, passed away recently while traveling overseas with his partner. His small boy is now fatherless as a result of the tragic incident.

Through his musical profession, the singer met Cheryl Cole, the mother of his child. Before being chosen by Simon Cowell to be a judge on “The X Factor: UK” in 2008, Cheryl, a British singer as well, rose to stardom as a member of the pop girl group Girls Aloud.

Their paths crossed in 2010 when Liam tried out as a solo competitor on “The X Factor: UK.” But it wasn’t until years later, following Cheryl’s divorce from Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, her ex-husband, that Cowell brought them back together and they started dating.

But because Liam and Cheryl were ten years apart in age, their connection later aroused interest. That didn’t stop them from carrying on their romance, though.

News outlets announced that Liam and Cheryl were expecting their first child together in November 2016. But it wasn’t until February 2017 that the soon-to-be mother formally announced her pregnancy.

Liam and Cheryl welcomed their baby child in March 2017. According to reports, the new father also posted a picture of himself cradling his newborn kid on social media to spread the word.

Liam conveyed his happiness, describing it as a memorable occasion and thanking Cheryl for her perseverance during the trip. He talked about how fortunate he felt and how their son had immediately won his heart, even though they hadn’t decided on a name yet.

“Thank you to everyone for the love and supportive messages for myself and @CherylOfficial,” the proud first-time father wrote on X in appreciation of everyone who gave well wishes. It has a lot of significance.

Their romance ended despite the birth of their son, Bear Payne. The celebrity couple ended their two-and-a-half-year relationship by making their breakup public when Bear was just 16 months old.

Liam and Cheryl shared the news of their split with their followers on their own X accounts in July 2018. “I regret to inform you that Cheryl and I will be parting ways. As a family, we still love one other very dearly,” he added.

Meanwhile, the mother of one wrote, “[…] Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together.”

Bear was successfully co-parented by Liam and Cheryl after their divorce. Being well-known, Cheryl wanted Bear to have a typical upbringing away from the limelight.

She revealed in a Vogue interview that Bear has begun to comprehend their celebrity, asking her at one point, “‘How lucky am I to have famous parents?’”— she reminded him that it wasn’t what really mattered and minimized its importance.

In a 2019 interview, Liam talked candidly about the difficulties of raising his son who looks like him and remaining involved.

The international celebrity talked about how he liked to make breakfast staples like poached eggs and American pancakes because he felt it was a meaningful way to help while Cheryl concentrated on their baby Bear, with whom he also developed a close relationship.

The gifted pianist recalled that Bear was actually Liam’s “mini-me” when his mother brought over some of his old toys and Cheryl saw him playing with a red Jaguar car, which was Liam’s childhood favorite.

Liam thanked his son’s mother in July 2023 for giving him the time he required to recuperate from personal hardships. He acknowledged that he had felt unfit to be a father until that time since he had nothing worthwhile to give his son. Liam revealed, looking back on Bear’s development, “He’s maturing much too fast. He’s much smarter than I could ever hope to be.

Despite the difficulties, Liam talked warmly about how much he enjoyed seeing his son grow up. The pleased father praised him in a different interview, referring to him as a “blessing.” Liam stressed how “blessed” and “lucky” he and Cheryl felt to have their kid in their lives.

In response to the question of whether Bear like his music, Liam disclosed that his kid used to decide whether a song would “sink” or “swim.” Additionally, because of his hectic work schedule, he frequently missed his child, who is 90% of him.

Liam also stated in a 2022 interview that he saw Bear two or three times a week and that he made it a point to be totally present when they were together. He avoided distractions like his phone to make sure Bear got his full focus.

Bear seeing him as a superhero meant a lot to the devoted father, who wished to maintain that unique connection as his son grew.

Liam also acknowledged that, although he hadn’t anticipated finding himself in that role, he had always aspired to be a young father. He clarified that while he was at work, he encountered an entirely new world, but at home, he accepted his position as a father.

He called himself “Dada Montana,” a lighthearted reference to Miley Cyrus’s television program “Hannah Montana.” Cheryl, meantime, acknowledged that he was a good father and commended his parenting.

While Liam was more forgiving, she characterized herself as the stern parent, restricting Bear’s treats. Cheryl acknowledged that Liam was an excellent father, but she also acknowledged that he was much gentler than she was. Nevertheless, she was willing to accept their differences.

In addition, Liam loved spending time with Bear and was amazed at how fast his son had matured. Recalling that Bear was large from infancy, he joked that he couldn’t believe his kid had ever been that small when he saw smaller infants.

Liam thought back to times when he had watched Bear wander the house, acting as though his teddy was a phone, and reflected on how quickly he was growing. He said he loved spending time with Bear and called him “awesome” and a lot of fun.

In a heartfelt post about his son on his 31st birthday, the musician joked, “I didn’t get any dad socks yet though.” Liam also said, “Bless him,” adding that he was excited to speak with Bear soon. He’s growing so large. He’s a big boy and he looks like a mini-me. As if we needed any more me in the world.”

Bear, who is only seven years old, must deal with the devastating loss of his father. Liam had been posting entertaining photos from his trip to Argentina with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, on social media since September 30.
