In a recent captivating social media post, famous actress Mariska Hargitay shared a striking new photo, showcasing her looking radiant in a white dress paired with red lipstick. The “Law & Order: SVU” star dazzled fans as she channeled the Old Hollywood glamour with which her iconic late mom, Jayne Mansfield, was synonymous.

The image shows Hargitay posing with her right arm behind her head as she stares into the distance. Her post prompted a flurry of fan comments, with many noting the uncanny resemblance between Hargitay and Mansfield.

She divulged, “My mother was this amazing, beautiful, glamorous sex symbol — but people didn’t know that she played the violin and had a 160 IQ and had five kids and loved dogs. She was just so ahead of her time. She was an inspiration, she had this appetite for life, and I think I share that with her.”

Earlier this year, Hargitay again spoke about Mansfield inspiring her in another interview. “Today” hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie talked about how Hargitay was the source of inspiration for their hair bow segment.
