Michael Bublé’s Eras Tour experience included chatting with Taylor Swift’s parents.
On Sunday, December 8, the 49-year-old Canadian singer attended the last show of the Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada, with his wife, Luisana Lopilato, and their two daughters, Vida, 6, and Cielo, 2. (The couple’s sons, Noah, 11, and Elias, 8, were absent.) The “Feeling Good” singer spoke to E! on Monday, December 9, about the concert experience, including spending time with the pop star’s parents, Scott Swift and Andrea Swift.
“Honestly, [it was] one of the coolest nights of my life. Her mom and her dad came over, and it reminded me so much of my mom and dad,” The Voice coach gushed. “They were so sweet, and they were so proud.”
Bublé explained how the “Karma” hitmaker’s parents were amazed by the positivity this tour brought into people’s lives.
“They were so overwhelmed by the moment and the fact that this moment is bringing generations together to celebrate positivity and goodness and empathy,” he recounted. “There was no group of people that weren’t represented, and it’s just something I know it’s never happened before. And I don’t know if it’ll ever happen again.”
In terms of the beloved tradition of trading friendship bracelets, Bublé’s little ones were all in as he told the outlet, “My daughter literally took every single one. I made some of the greatest trades.”
The five-time Grammy winner also posted about his experience on social media. On Monday, he shared an adorable video montage of his time at the show, including dancing with his daughter Vida.
Bublé once again praised the 14-time Grammy winner’s parents in his caption.
“When I tell you I witnessed something last night that I’ve never experienced before and frankly, may never experience again. Taylor is truly an incredible entertainer,” he wrote. “Her parents were so kindhearted, it’s clear how she became the woman she is today and watching the joy on my daughter’s faces is something I will never forget as long as I live. They were in awe of Taylor.”
“The power of connection and the shared experience between generations is a testament to Taylor’s incredible talents,” the Christmas crooner continued. “I am grateful to have seen the Eras tour and in my very own hometown. What an unforgettable night! #MamaSwift #SwiftieForever❤️.”
