Mom Walks In on Young Son in Bathtub, Unprepared for What She Finds
|A mischievous boy from South Carolina has gone viral for the state in which his mom found him in the family bathroom.
Nicole, along with her husband John, daughter Kylieann and little Barrett James had just finished a big project on the yard and were in the process of getting cleaned up.
Barrett James took it upon himself to get into the tub and went slightly overboard with the bubble bath.
In a reel on Instagram, the clip shows Nicole’s real-time reaction to finding her son in the overflowing tub.
“We had just gotten a new bottle of body wash and he just helped himself. I guess he thought he earned it from all his hard work,” the mom of four told Newsweek.
In the clip, Nicole gasped and put her head in her hands in disbelief. She asked her son if he used “every last drop” of the bubble bath, to which the little boy replied: “No, there’s still some in it,” giggling with a giant cloud of bubbles on his head.
John was the first one to spot his son submerged in bubbles and was going to start cleaning up, but he decided to let his wife and daughter see what had happened first.
Nicole told Newsweek that she was shocked to see the amount of bubbles and knew the cleanup would require some extra family effort.
“He used almost all the bubble bath. He said there was a little left, and he meant just a teeny bit,” she said.
The clip, filmed by Kylieann and posted on Nicole’s account @nicdoz, has racked up over 6.7 million views. Over a thousand other Instagram users commented on the video and found Barrett James’ antics hilarious.
“Listen we all want to do this at least once in our life,” one user wrote. Others were certain John had something to do with the bathroom disaster. “Dad looks just as guilty,” one wrote. “Dad was definitely involved,” said another.
Some even took inspiration from the young boy, asking how he managed to get so many bubbles. “I need to know his secret,” one commented.
Nicole told Newsweek they pulled Barrett James out of the tub and got him in the shower to wash off. “Then we started cleaning up the tub. It took a while to get all the bubbles cleaned up,” she said.
