Dion was diagnosed with the neurological and autoimmune disorder Stiff-Person syndrome. The condition prevents her from freely moving her body due to stiffness while experiencing severe muscle spasms. Stiff-Person syndrome is extremely rare, but research about it is slowly progressing.
